About Skipd
Skipd is a free tool for tracking the money you save by skipping small, everyday purchases — the morning coffee, the takeout lunch, the impulse buy you put back on the shelf.
Most savings apps focus on what you spend. Skipd flips that: every time you decide not to buy something, you log it. Over a week or month those small wins add up fast, and seeing the total is the motivation to keep going.
How to use it
- Open the app the moment you skip something.
On your phone, in the checkout line, in the coffee shop. It only takes a few seconds.
- Tap the category that matches what you skipped.
Coffee, lunch out, and impulse buy are built in. You can add your own categories with a custom name and default amount.
- Adjust the amount if needed, then tap Save.
The default amount pre-fills the field — just change it if today's version was cheaper or pricier than usual.
- Watch your totals grow.
The summary at the top shows your savings for today, this week, or this month. Switch the period any time.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. No subscription, no ads, no premium tier.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. Skipd works the moment you open it — no sign-up, no email, no password. Your data is tied to this browser automatically.
- What if I switch phones or use a different browser?
- Tap Sync across devices in the footer. You'll get a short transfer code that's valid for 24 hours. Enter it on your other device and your history moves over.
- Can I edit or delete a saved entry?
- Yes. Tap any entry in the list to edit the category, amount, date, or note — or delete it entirely.
- Can I export my data?
- Yes. Tap Export CSV in the footer to download all your entries as a spreadsheet.
- Why isn't there a streak counter?
- On purpose. Streak mechanics create anxiety when you miss a day. Skipd tracks the positive — money saved — without any "you broke your streak" guilt.
